What HiTradies doesn't do
HiTradies works the way you'd expect almost everywhere. These are the boundaries — read the one you've hit, then follow the link to what to do instead.
Quotes are archived, not deleted
There's no delete button for a quote — Archive is how you take one off your active list. Your pricing history stays on record. See Archive a quote.
A job needs a client with a saved address
A job can't be submitted until its client has a service address on file — that's where the job's own address comes from. Add the address to the client's profile first, then create the job. See Before you start.
A cancelled visit can't be undone
Cancelling a visit takes effect immediately — there's no confirmation window and no undo button. Double-check you've got the right row before you select it; if you cancel one by mistake, ask your HiTradies administrator to have it restored. See Cancelling a visit.
A client's invoice copy has no PDF download button
Unlike a quote, the copy your client sees has no Download PDF button. Send them a PDF yourself once the invoice is paid. See What your client sees.
Clients are inactivated, not deleted
HiTradies doesn't let you permanently delete a client — mark them Inactive instead once you no longer work for them. Switch the client list's status filter to find them again later. See Inactivate a client.
Team member search is accent-sensitive
Searching for a team member is accent-sensitive — a search for "Nguyen" won't find "Nguyễn". Type the name as it was entered, or search a different field, like phone or email. See Search for someone.
Accounts are archived, not deleted
Accounts — the categories behind your invoicing and expense tracking — can't be deleted outright. Archive one to retire it from your active list while keeping your past records intact. See Edit or archive an account.
